Growing up in Michigan, Kenny attended the Michigan School of Horseshoeing in Bellville, Michigan in 1984. After completing school and a brief stint on the West Coast, Kenny’s horse-shoeing career took off in 1990 in New Hampshire, working alongside Tom Curl and the late Dr. John R. Steele. Throughout this time, Kenny attended the American Farrier’s Association exchange program in England for four months, where he realized his passion was in shoeing elite show jumpers.

After Kenny was introduced to Hunter Harrison in the late ‘90’s, he joined the team at Double H Farm as the official farrier. Since then, Kenny has traveled around the globe with Double H Farm, taking care of all of the horses’ shoeing needs at competitions and at home. More than just the team’s farrier, Kenny is a pivotal part of the Double H Farm family, and the farm is proud to have served as one of his earliest and longest clients in the sport horse business.

Kenny reciprocates the feeling, stating, “Mr. Harrison was so influential in the business when he was with us. We had a really good rapport and a very good relationship. He opened an enormous amount of doors for me. When I first started with Mr. Harrison, he was the first one that offered me opportunities to go to Europe. He was committed to having me shoe his horses wherever they were and whatever they needed done. I owe an enormous amount of my career to Mr. Harrison and his commitment to me and his willingness to help me. Double H Farm has been a pivotal part of my career for nearly 20 years.”

Kenny has worked with some of the world’s top competition horses as the official farrier for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the 2018 World Equestrian Games in North Carolina, and the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima.
