Goldika was purchased for Mclain Ward in 2003 from rider Toni Hassman. Goldika was a horse that could win the speed class on Friday and the grand prix on Sunday, and she often did. Goldika and McLain had a special partnership that carried the team across the globe, winning the Grand Prix of Devon and the President’s Cup Grand Prix at Washington, among many others. Goldika and Mclain competed together into her teenage years, and she performed with consistent excellence until her very last show. Goldika had a beautiful retirement at Blue Chip Farm in New York.
