Bought in 2007 for Rodrigo Pessoa, Rufus became a true championship horse. While always keeping Rodrigo on his toes with his unpredictable antics, Rufus and Rodrigo were successful from the beginning of their relationship together, with wins at CSI3* Spy Coast Farm Wellington Cup Grand Prix, CSI3* Antwerpen, and $150,000 CSI-W World Cup Grand Prix Wellington. Rufus and Rodrigo also brought home team medals for Brazil at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. “Ruffles” continues to enjoy his well earned retirement in Ocala, Florida.
